OVERVIEW

Aviation Recorders is the world’s largest manufacturer of crash-protected recorders, or so-called “black boxes,” for both aviation and maritime applications. Its products are required for all commercial air transport, regional airlines and most business aircraft and include Flight Data and Cockpit Voice Recorders and Flight Data Acquisition Units. Military applications include helicopter and transport aircraft installations. The product line also includes on-board, real-time Weather Services and Satellite Receivers, Cabin Surveillance Systems and Quick Access Recorders. For maritime applications the division’s products include Hardened Voyage Recorders (HVR); Simplified Voyage Recorders (SVR) for passenger ships, ferries and cargo vessels and Automatic Identification Systems for both commercial and military shipboard applications.
